Extreme weather conditions, global warming and more

So many warnings; flood, tornado and other extreme weather conditions.
So many advices about what to do and not to do.
Global warming; so many consequences put up to scare us from certain activites and behaviour these days.

Ladies and gentlemen of all ages, do not forget the most important decision of your life: What do you do with Jesus Christ?
Your answer to this question will have major effects and consequences for your presence, your future and for your eternity.

Your presence is here today and your future starts tomorrow. And remember that your eternity might start before the worst consequences of global warming will occur. Your eternity might even start as a consequence of flood, tornado or other extreme weather conditions in the near future. So, wouldn't you care to think about your eternity in the same matter as you think about what to do to secure yourself, your family and your home to extreme weather conditions? Every day represents a start of the eternity for many people in the world, in your country and even in your city.

Heaven and hell are real places and they are locations for eternity. Perfect people will go to Heaven and imperfect people will go to hell. A key question therefore is, who is perfect?

In Heaven, everything is perfect. To keep it perfect, only perfect people will enter. But neither my life nor your life qualifies for Heaven. The life that Jesus Christ lived on earth about 2000 years ago, qualifies, though. In His love and grace, God has made it so that each and every one of us has been given a gift. By accepting that we are not perfect and by accepting that Jesus Christ lived the perfect life that we depend on, we can apply God's gift into our life so that Jesus' perfect life replaces our imperfect life. When God looks at us then, He sees us as perfect and welcomes us to Heaven.

This is not a gift for special individuals. It is a gift for all mankind - for every human being. It is a gift for me and it is a gift for you. But each and every one of us needs to make a decision whether or not we want to receive it. Just as we decide whether or not we want to receive a gift given to us by other people, we also need to decide if we want to receive God's gift. Receiving it is a ticket to Heaven. Not receiving it leads to hell.

Hell is a place where none of God's many blessings is present. Water, joy, friendship, food, laughter - these are just some of the countless blessings that both Christians and non-Christians can enjoy on earth. In hell, though, all these blessings are missing. It is a place where those who do not receive God's gift will stay. For eternity. And they will remain there, fully aware that they could have spent eternity in Heaven just by receiving God's gift. Fully aware also of the opportunities they had to receive God's gift while still alive. For example now, when you have been reading this.

The decision is yours.
