Nothing you can do about it - it has already happened!

God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them. What a powerful truth this sentence represents! You will find it in 2nd Corinthians 5:19 in the Bible.

Neither of us has or had anything to do with our salvation. There is nothing any of us can do today or any day in the future that can save us. Except receiving Jesus Christ. And there is nothing any of us has done in the past that caused us to be saved. Except that we received Jesus Christ, for those of us who have done that. Our Creator did it all. He finished everything according to His will.

Even when He reconciled the world to Himself, neither of us living in this world was represented at the reconciliation table. He sent His Son to take our place. It was God and His Son who were at the reconciliation table. In Christ, God reconciled the world to Himself. It is past tense; it has happened. All we need to do, is to receive His gift; to believe in Jesus Christ.

God reconciled the world to Himself. The world - that is every single human being. Including you. So God actually reconciled you to Himself. What does that mean? It means that God does not hold against you any sin and mistake you have done! You may think that this sounds too good to be true. Well, that is what God's love and grace is all about. It is so wonderfully good - and it is true. How can you know that this good news apply to you? All you need to do is to accept God's gift and believe in Jesus Christ.
