Today's news from the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN), says that scientists now have found the missing cornerstone of particle physics. The found particle is said to be consistent with the Higgs boson, which is seen as the key to understanding why matter has mass, which combines with gravity to give an object weight.
One of the questions asked to a member of the ATLAS group in CERN in the Norwegian newspaper VG today, was; does this prove that God is the creator of the earth and the universe? The answer from CERN is that today's finding does not prove anything "religious"; neither that God is the creator nor that God is not the creator.
For us who know that God is the creator, it is kind of interesting to think about the following: Human beings use about 5-7% of our brain's intelligence capacity. This means that the remaining 93-95% is not an asset for the scientists in their work. When knowing that God is the creator of every single scientist, He must necessarily have a level of knowledge or intelligence that is at least higher than the maximum capacity of one brain. I do not know how many scientists are living in the world right now, but I know that we are more than 6 billion people on earth. If we add those people who are dead, the total number of human beings is quite high. God has created the brain of each and every human being. Hence, God must have a level of intelligence that is higher than the intelligence of all human beings put together.
Therefore, is it logic or probable that scientists will ever find the solution? Will it ever be scientifically proved that walking on the water is possible? Jesus did that, and His disciple Peter did it as well. Will it ever be scientifically proved that a person who starts believing in Jesus Christ, gets a new spirit and becomes what the Bible say, a new creation or a new species? There are millions of so called born again Christians who have become such new creations.
Scientific history and experience clearly confirm that human science does not represent anything more than relative and limited truths; truths that is true in one generation, but often proves to be wrong in the next generation. There is no logic reason to believe or expect that human science, with its limitations, will ever be able to find the absolute truth. Because the absolute truth is based on an intelligence far higher than the intelligence capacity of human beings. The absolute truth is based on God - or rather, the absolute truth is God, and our only way to God is through Jesus Christ.
Today's finding of the so called God particle is therefore only interesting in connection with the search for relative truths and understanding. No human science can contribute in finding the absolute truth - Jesus Christ is the only way to God. It is neither about science nor religion; it is all about a relation with the living God through Jesus Christ.
